Acquiring Home-Ownership Skills

Habitat-NYC understands that homeownership is a complex and life-changing endeavor. In order to ensure that all future Family Partners are prepared for the mortgage process and life as a homeowner, Habitat-NYC requires that all selected families participate in First-time Homebuyer education and Home Maintenance courses.

These courses are free of charge and are conducted by certified counselors from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). For more information concerning the First-time Homebuyer and/or Home Maintenance training, please visit nhsnyc.org.
