Volunteer at Habitat-NYC

Volunteers are the heart of Habitat for Humanity - New York City. More than 10,000 people volunteer with us each year. Habitat-NYC brings together individuals and groups from faith institutions, corporations, educational, and community groups to work to ensure that all New Yorkers have a decent, affordable home.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer with Habitat-NYC and for your concern about affordable housing. We currently have volunteer opportunities available for individuals through our Habitat-NYC Home Team program. Other ways in which you can support our work

Youth Activities
You must be 16 or over to volunteer on a Habitat-NYC site, and building opportunities currently are very limited.

But there are many activities that young people can do to help solve our city’s housing crisis, and Habitat for Humanity International offers a number of organized programs for youth.

Specialized Volunteer Opportunities
Habitat-NYC currently has volunteer opportunities available for individuals through our Habitat-NYC Home Team program. Habitat-NYC also has limited openings for team and community building opportunities for our
Corporate Sponsors.

Habitat-NYC’s Internship Program provides opportunities for individuals enrolled in higher education to work in our offices with Habitat-NYC staff members to assist in the creation of new programs and systems.

Advocate
We encourage all of our supporters to work for the cause, not just the day. Learn more about our Advocacy efforts.

Donate
Your financial support is critical for Habitat-NYC to continue building affordable housing. You can donate either on line or by mail and we will mail you our quarterly newsletter.
