Help Habitat-NYC Raise the Roof!
Habitat-NYC has limited opportunities for individual volunteers. We accept names of individuals or groups for our Individual Opportunities List, which will be used to fill vacancies on our regular schedule. Simply send your name and e-mail address to volunteer@habitatnyc.org.

When a vacancy arises we will contact you to see if you are available on a specific day. Please note that you will build on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday and that we put in full days from 8:45 am – 4 pm. We usually notify you one week prior to a vacancy; however, more notice will be given if possible.

As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of phases of construction – framing walls, installing insulation, hanging drywall, laying down hardwood floor and tiling, painting the interiors, putting up trim and doing finish work. We are looking for individuals with or without construction skills; however, all volunteers must be 16 or older.
